Welcome to Crawford's Church of England Primary School.

At Crawford’s Primary School, our mission is to ensure that every child learns they are unique in God's eyes and they can make a difference to the world around them. This is brought to life both inside and outside of the classroom, creating an environment which allows children to root themselves in the foundations of their education, and flourish.

We draw inspiration from our school motto: "Following Jesus, together we care, inspire and achieve" along with our Crawford's Cogs. Resilient, Courageous, Reflective, Inspirational, Kind Communicators and Aspirational. We actively encourage these values in all of our children and staff, creating a solid foundation for learning and achievement.

We welcome visits to the school, so please get in touch:

Mrs Joanna Ling

We are a small rural school situated in the beautiful village of Haughley. Our catchment area serves the parishes of Haughley and Wetherden. We are a Church of England Primary School which caters for children between 5 and 11 years of age.

Reverend William Crawford founded our school in 1866. It was established in the first instance as a Church of England foundation. It maintains good links with the Church through its Foundation Governors and the active support of the Reverend of Haughley and Pastor of Wetherden.

The school's building is one of character and charm which has been extended over the years to accommodate our growing number of children. We have four classrooms, an activities area and a beautiful library area too, with a separate hall/dining room. Children use the playground at playtime and lunchtime and also regularly make use of the village playing field.
